Update of the Software - Update der Software (2003-02-18):

English:
Q: I tried to actualize the Firmware of our Timy through the Internet. After about 40% the download was abounded and the following error message came on the ALGE-TIMING installation manger: "Socket sent aborted". How can I solve this problem?

A: From this error massage we assume the following problem: Your Internet provider does not allow to execute a EXE-file because of security reasons. In this case you have to download the new software on you PC, and then you can make the update through the command "Install Firmware from File" (your PC).

F: Ich habe versucht die Firmware unseres Timy via Internet zu aktualisieren. Nach ca. 40% des Downloads wird abgebrochen mit einer Fehlermeldung des ALGE-TIMING Installation-Managers "Socket send aborted". Wie kann ich das Problem beheben?
A: Aus der Fehlermeldung vermuten wir, dass Ihr Internetprovider das ausführen einer EXE-Datei aus Sicherheitsgründen sperrt. In diesem Fall müssen Sie die Datei zuerst von unserer Internetseite auf Ihren PC laden und dann beim Ausführen des Update die "Install Firmware from File" (Ihrem PC) laden.

Adjustment of the Language - Sprache Einstellen (2003-02-18):

English:
Q:    How can I switch to an other Language?
A:    At the moment the Timy supports English and German. You have to go into the menu into "GENERAL" and "LANGUAGE". Here you can select between English and German.
 

Deutsch:
Q:    Wie kann ich im Timy die Sprache auswählen?
A:    Derzeit unterstützt der Timy Englisch und Deutsch. Um die Sprache zu wechseln geht man ins Hauptmenü und wählt "GENERAL" oder "ALLGEMEIN" und "LANGUAGE" oder "SPACHE". Hier kann man jetzt die Sprache zwischen Englisch und Deutsch umschalten.

System:

Q:    How can I update to the latest Software?
A:    Please follow exactly the update-instructions described in the maual.

Q:    How can I update the boot-program?
A:    You cannot update the boot-program by yourself. If you still have the old boot-program (V0222 and below) please send it to us.
 
 

Troubleshooting:

Q:    After an Update the Timy does not show all Text correctly. What can I do?
A:    Be sure that you have the latest boot-software. The Version-number you can see immediately after switching the Timy on. (V 0223)
